			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<blockquote><p>A couple of days ago, however, all of a sudden my inbox displayed the following message, even though there were plenty of messages both read and unread in the folder:</p>
<p>There are no messages in this mailbox.</p>
<p>The funny thing was, I could see all of the messages in the folder if I did a search for a string that was not found &#8211; for example search for messages in inbox from &#8220;nosuchuser&#8221;:</p>
<p>Some searching revealed that others have occassionally seen a similar problem, and there seemed to be a connection to the IMP preferences for the user having the problem. The most common recommended solution was to delete all of the imp preferences for the user.</p>
<p>Since I have a lot of customized settings, I wanted to avoid that if possible, so I went digging. I tracked the problem down to a garbled setting in the sortpref preference setting. The solution for me was to reset sortpref to its&#8217; default setting. I did this with the following SQL code:</p>
<p><strong>update horde_prefs set pref_value=&#8217;a:0:{}&#8217; where pref_uid=&#8217;<span style="color: #ff0000;">USERNAME</span>&#8216; and pref_name=&#8217;sortpref&#8217; and pref_scope=&#8217;imp&#8217;;</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>(Of course, you have to replace USERNAME with the actual username of the user having the problem)</p>
<p>After logging out and back in again, the problem was fixed.</p></blockquote>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), is a bill that was introduced in the United States House of Representatives on October 26, 2011. The bill expands the ability of U.S. law enforcement and copyright holders to fight online trafficking in copyrighted intellectual property and counterfeit goods.</p>
<p>The bill would allow the U.S. Department of Justice, as well as copyright holders, to seek court orders against websites accused of enabling or facilitating copyright infringement. Depending on who requests the court orders, the actions could include barring online advertising networks and payment facilitators such as PayPal from doing business with the allegedly infringing website, barring search engines from linking to such sites, and requiring Internet service providers to block access to such sites. The bill would make unauthorized streaming of copyrighted content a felony. The bill also gives immunity to Internet services that voluntarily take action against websites dedicated to infringement, while making liable for damages any copyright holder who knowingly misrepresents that a website is dedicated to infringement.<span id="more-1336"></span></p>
<p>Open source software projects may shut down under this bill, under a provision which the EFF believes targets Mozilla, the browser used for about a quarter of all web searches.</p>
<p>&#8220;It would cover IP blocking. I think it contemplates deep packet inspection&#8221; said Markham C. Erikson, head of NetCoalition, a group that includes Google, Yahoo and eBay. An aide to sponsor Lamar Smith said that the judge would decide what sort of blocking to order.</p>
<p>Andrew Lee, CEO of ESET North America, has expressed concerns that since the bill would require internet service providers to filter DNS queries for the sites, this would undermine the integrity of the Domain Name System.<span style="font-size: 11px;"> </span></p>
<p>Edward J. Black, president and CEO of the Computer and Communications Industry Association, wrote in the Huffington Post that &#8220;Ironically, it would do little to stop actual pirate websites, which could simply reappear hours later under a different name, if their numeric web addresses aren&#8217;t public even sooner. Anyone who knows or has that web address would still be able to reach the offending website.&#8221;</p>
<p>CNET correspondent Larry Downes wrote,</p>
<blockquote><p><strong>&#8220;A bill that was to target only the &#8216;worst of the worst&#8217; foreign Web sites committing blatant and systemic copyright and trademark infringement has morphed inexplicably into an unrestricted hunting license for media companies to harass anyone foreign or domestic—who questions their timetable for digital transformation.&#8221;</strong></p></blockquote>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Using TwitterFeed.com you can simply write a blog post, and the website will automatically create Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn posts for you. They even use bit.ly links that let you track how many clicks your posts are getting.</p>
<ol>
<li>Start by signing up at <a href="http://www.twitterfeed.com">www.twitterfeed.com</a></li>
<li>Create a feed. (This may pop up by default for new users.)</li>
<li>Enter the name of this feed. Anything will do.</li>
<li>The blog URL is the RSS feed address. If you use WordPress, your URL will look like this example: http://example.com/?feed=rss2</li>
<li>Continue to Step 2. Authorize any services by clicking them in the list and logging in.</li>
<li>You&#8217;re finished! It should grab your newest post first, so check to see how it worked.</li>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>The Problem:</strong> I have a computer at home that started randomly and suddenly shutting down due shortly after logging into windows, or just waiting a while at the bios or the safe mode prompt.<span id="more-888"></span></p>
<p><strong>The Research:</strong> Initial research told me that it is most likely something wrong with the heatsink and cpu fan unit. I checked and CPU was running at 85C. No wonder it was instantly powering off, it must have been a safety option to stop it from burning up.</p>
<p>The CPU is a Core 2 Duo LGA-775. I came across this <a href="http://www.supremelaw.org/systems/heatsinks/warning.htm">law firms warning</a> that LGA-775 Intel heat sinks have the tendency to come undone over time, and especially under frequent temperature changes (fits the setting for this room). I touched and pulled on the heat sink unit and it seemed to just rattle and move, which is bad.</p>
<p><strong>The Solution:</strong> If you have the same problem, just re-seat the heat sink unit. <a href="http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=2231&amp;page=6">Instructions with pictures can be found here</a>. A quick clarification and important note on the instructions: Make sure the arrows on the pegs are facing away from the heat sink. After that, pushing the pegs in and hearing a click is all that&#8217;s needed. <em>(Using a screwdriver after that to turn the pegs takes OFF the heat sink, it doesn&#8217;t tighten it.)</em></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you would like a custom search engine by Google on your website, you can simply create one <a href="http://www.google.com/cse/">here</a> and just use the code they generate and place it on your site. However, if you want a more integrated look, I found a <a href="http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/customsearch/thread?tid=5283f80c779d5107&amp;hl=en">different solution</a>.<span id="more-857"></span></p>
<p>The following code is the search box, so you need to place it wherever you want people to be using the search box:</p>
<p>[html]</p>
<form action="search.html" method="get">
<input type="text" name="q" />
<input type="submit" name="search" value="Search" />
</form>
<p>[/html]</p>
<p>Now create page search.php and place this code on it (dont forget to add your CSE ID below):</p>
<p>[php]</p>
<div id="cse" style="width: 100%;">Loading</div>
<p><script src="http://www.google.com/jsapi" type="text/javascript"></script><br />
<script type="text/javascript">
  google.load('search', '1');
  google.setOnLoadCallback(function(){
    var customSearchControl = new google.search.CustomSearchControl('XXXXX'); //REPLACE XXXXX WITH YOUR GOOGLE CSE ID
    customSearchControl.setResultSetSize(google.search.Search.FILTERED_CSE_RESULTSET);
    customSearchControl.draw('cse');
    $(".gsc-input").val(""); //Note: This inserts the query into search field
    $(".gsc-search-button").click(); //Note: call button click event, which show results
  }, true);
</script></p>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://www.google.com/cse/style/look/default.css" type="text/css" />
[/php]</p>
<p>All credit goes to <a href="<br />

If it isn&#8217;t working for you, have a look at the source and try theirs.</p>
